About Training

Lartman farms organize a two-day fish farming training four times every year. The training covers important topics every fish Farmer should be conversant with. The trainees enjoy packages like interaction with some stakeholders in the fish farming industry, free company registration, FDA certifications and all other necessary certifications needed in the fish farming industry. Lunch is also provided each day.

On the first day, the trainees are taken through the theoretical aspect which includes the fundamentals of fish farming, management practices, marketing skills amongst others. On the second day, the trainees get to experience more practical aspects of fish farming including black soldier fly larvae production. As part of the packages for the training, the trainees are given the chance to register their companies and also secure FDA and other certifications that are crucial in fish marketing, all for free. Some stakeholders in the fish farming industry are also invited to have a talk with the trainees. Amongst them are: Lecturers from some universities, speakers from some feed producing companies as well as speakers from chamber of aquaculture.
